Еmil Rashkovski (Bulgarian: Емил Рашковски) is a Bulgarian photographer based in Sofia.

His practice is shaped by photography and serigraphy — inherited from a family tradition and later developed through training at the Parallax School of Photography, contemporary art programs, Magnum Agency workshops, and mentorship at Gallery Synthesis, Sofia.

“For me, the camera is both witness and alibi — an entry into places that rarely reveal themselves on their own. I work where reality bends: at borders, in peripheral spaces, in fleeting rituals or encounters, within the everyday. I am drawn to images that stand between the documentary and the mystery — where photography becomes both an identity document and a riddle.”

Rashkovski’s solo exhibitions include TerraDeForming (Plovdiv, 2020) and HELLO SUMMER! (Sofia, 2023). He is the recipient of Bulgaria’s National Award at the Sony World Photography Awards (2015) and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Cosmodrome (2019). His work has also appeared in a range of print and online publications.
